730 hours a month, Windows Ebdsv5 or classic Managed Instance General Purpose Gen5. Right-sizing is a declared assumption, not measured utilisation, and deployment layout is fitted to the published Azure size ladder rather than an exact topology. Only the avoidable share of on-premises operations falls away with the migrated cores. Storage left at 0 means unspecified: VM data disks are omitted and Managed Instance uses its 32 GB floor. Software Assurance is charged at published list on cores that stay and on the cores whose rights back Azure Hybrid Benefit, which requires active eligible SA or a qualifying subscription. Migrated cores without it pay the Azure SQL meter instead, never both. Commitments assume full hourly utilisation and no reservation or savings-plan stacking. Commitment discounts never reduce Windows or SQL licensing, or storage. These are directional numbers to help you start evaluating SQL options in Azure. Run an Azure Migrate assessment for an accurate estimate.
